Day 26

Breakfast:   3 slices of salami & zucchini muffin and melon

Lunch:  tomato & cucumber salad, 2 boiled eggs

Dinner:  Leftovers of roasted squash and peppersteak

I cleaned out my frig today and threw away most of my nonPaleo stuff--i kept the booze. (School is starting soon and I might need a little "sum sum"!)  Left my frig pretty bare.

(the blue cup is left-over coconut milk that I might drink later tonight)

  1. Agreed on the alcohol. Something we make is called a vodka Rickey. You can make it with whatever hard alcohol you fancy. It's just the liquor, lime juice, and seltzer water. When you get the balance just right, it's light and refreshing without being too strong. This makes it a very minor cheat. Michael likes it a lot. I'd prefer it with a little sugar, but then it's more of a cheat.

  2. vodka rickey's are SO good.

How has your digestion been? Also, it's hard for me to guesstimate your caloric intake based on your food listings very accurately. Do you know what your daily calories are averaging out to? I'm still a little concerned you aren't eating enough, but you might be fine.

I'm super glad you're sticking with this :)

  3. everything cleared up and was fine a week ago. . . then, last night & the night before I had the "runs" again. I think its something I'm eating. I didn't by the pills for digestion b/c you said it would pass. The discomfort regarding "diarrhea" is not that bad. The only thing about it I can say is when I gotta go, I must go. . . there is no waiting like before. TMI!

I can't guesstimate my daily caloric intake either and I'm not going to try. The bulk of my calories come from the meat and nuts and coconut milk. I try to EAT tons of veggies with my meals. I hope that you can see that. I refuse to go back to measuring cups and counting points and all of that with regard to caloric intake. I have decided that I will limit the meat I eat to the size of my fist. I thinks thats what is recommended for a meal size and include a couple of "vegetarian" days throughout the week to work on the "weight loss." I am not going to deprive myself anymore. I'll just do the paleo diet as a lifestyle.

I'm glad I'm sticking with it, too. The only thing I'd like to add back is a little cheese. I've decided that I'll have to get a trainer and do a similar thing to this 30days to reform my habits with exercise. My friend today said that I looked smaller-applauded me for being soooo disciplined.

Thank you for the links before, they really helped give me perspective. I'm not worried about the weight loss anymore . . . i'm just trying to get healthier. And I know true weight loss won't come until I start exercising and burning off the fat.
